Bloodhound® Analyzer 2009a
There are four key sections to the Analyzer software:
  • DATALOGGER
  • KNOWLEDGE BUILDER
  • ANALYZER
  • CLASSIFICATION TOOL

The Data Logger controls the instrument’s operation during the sampling process. It is used by researchers and quality managers to carry out trials in new applications, during experimental design studies and when generating the new odour Knowledge profiles for future sample prediction.

The Knowledge Builder is the data processing part of the system which is used to generate 3D odour maps, Sample Reference files and Knowledge files. It also has data export facilities to allow external data processing by any compatible software that will accept spreadsheets.

Here, researchers and experienced users can view individual sensor responses and select precisely the features they wish to extract and analyse.

The Analyzer is then directed by the user to process a batch of experiments and from these it creates the Knowledge Map using advanced multivariate data analysis.

The Classification Tool allows the classification of unknown samples against pre-generated odour Knowledge Map databases. This is the ideal tool for quality control and diagnostic applications because tests can be carried out by an unskilled user. Samples can be recorded and classified ‘Live’ or pre-recorded files can be used.

In Live Classification mode, the instrument operation is automatically checked and controlled, the only user intervention required is to connect the sample, start and stop the testing.
